Daniel Radcliffe Says He and Tracy Morgan Quickly Bonded on Set
The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, which premieres February 23, follows Tracy Morgan as Reggie, a disgraced former NFL star who hires Daniel Radcliffe’s Arthur Tobin, an Oscar-winning director also trying to rebuild his reputation. The sitcom is executive produced by Tina Fey and features writing from Robert Carlock and Sam Means.
Radcliffe said the scripts drew him in, noting that “as every script would come in, I would just find myself laughing all the time, just reading it.” He described the experience of joining the show as a thrill and said the cast connected quickly, calling his early interactions with Tracy Morgan and Erika Alexander especially positive.
Erika Alexander admitted the dense, fast-paced punchlines were intimidating—“you want to be good, you want to be necessary”—but said the cast’s graciousness turned nerves into excitement. She praised Radcliffe and Morgan and singled out fellow performers Bobby Moynihan, Jalyn Hall and Precious Way.
