Danny DeVito and John Stamos hosted a secret, invite-only party at The Driskell in Downtown Austin on Friday ahead of the SXSW 2026 world premiere of their dark comedy thriller "Drag." Guests found an open bar stocked with wine, beer and spirits and an array of light bites, including burger and chicken sliders, giant pretzels, french fries, garlic breadsticks and a massive veggie tray with hummus.

DeVito was among the first to arrive; after chatting with fans and taking photos he headed to the bar for a glass of wine. Stamos arrived later with his wife, Caitlin McHugh, spoke with friends and fans and posed for selfies. Stamos joined a surprise performance with Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump and directors Raviv Ullman and Greg Yagolnitzer, playing songs by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, whose music is featured in "Drag." He played both guitar and drums, and mingled with DeVito and the film’s cast, including Lizzy Caplan, while DeVito spent much of the night sitting on a couch.
