Angela Meadows has asked producers not to show any footage of her son’s fatal accident, saying the family “do not want Discovery to air any of that footage or make money off of our son’s death” and that they “hope they only air good things of Todd on that boat.” She also requested videos of Todd crabbing so the family can “have the videos for memories.” Other family members have spoken about their grief.

Todd’s sister, Mackenzie, said, “No words put together can even describe the pain we’re going through and will continue to.” His father, Lucas, recalled that Todd “got involved with fishing with me probably from the time he was 3. It’s been a passion of his, his whole life,” and that “he had a smile on his face the whole time.” Todd, 25, died on Feb.

25 after he fell overboard while crabbing approximately 170 miles north of Dutch Harbor. His body was recovered by the crew after about 10 minutes in the water, but he was unresponsive and attempts to administer first aid and resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
