Todd Meadows, one of the stars of Deadliest Catch, has died at 25. Captain Rick Shelford confirmed Meadows’ death in an emotional Facebook post, saying Meadows passed on Feb. 25. "February 25, 2026, was the most tragic day in the history of the Aleutian Lady on the Bering Sea," Shelford wrote.

"We lost our brother, Todd Meadows." Shelford said Meadows was the newest member of the crew who "quickly became family." He praised Meadows’ work ethic and love of fishing and added that "his smile was contagious" and that "the sound of his laughter coming up the wheelhouse stairs or over the deck hailer is something we will carry with us always." Shelford asked fans to "lift Todd’s children and family in prayer" and vowed Meadows would "forever be part of this boat, this crew, and this brotherhood." "Rest easy brother, till we meet again," he concluded.

No cause of death has been confirmed.
