A demonstrator was hit in the face with a projectile fired by a federal officer at close range during a protest outside the federal immigration building in Santa Ana, according to Independent.co. The Friday gathering was in response to the shooting death of Renee Good in Minneapolis and began with hundreds marching before a smaller group remained outside the federal building, video shows.

The footage shows demonstrators burn what appeared to be an American flag, then move onto the plaza where a handful of agents in riot gear stood. Officials are seen forcefully moving a demonstrator down steps, an orange cone rolls onto the plaza, and officers begin firing munitions as they walk toward the crowd; it is not clear if cones were thrown or by whom.

Video by OC Hawk shows the injured demonstrator, identified only as "K" by fellow protesters, and officers approaching and grabbing another demonstrator identified in a federal criminal complaint as Katelyn Skye Seitz; Seitz later identified themself as Skye Jones. According to his aunt, Jeri Rees, "K" was blinded in his left eye.
