A new trailer for Desert Warrior places Anthony Mackie at the center of a historical action epic. The footage leans into intense, dust-covered combat and shows a more somber side of Mackie than the lighter moments he often brings to his roles. Set in seventh-century Arabia, the story follows Princess Hind (Aiysha Hart) after she refuses to become a concubine for Emperor Kisra (Sir Ben Kingsley).

Fleeing with her father, she crosses paths with a bandit (Mackie) whose unlikely aid sends them into a pursuit by the emperor's forces that culminates in the Battle of Dhi Qar. Joining Mackie and Hart are Ghassan Massoud and Sharlto Copley. Rupert Wyatt directed the film, which was written by David Self, Erica Beeney, Gary Ross and Wyatt, produced by Jeremy Bolt, runs 114 minutes and is scheduled for release April 24, 2026.
