Diablo 4’s Warlock arrives with the Lord of Hatred expansion in April, and Blizzard’s recent deep dive — plus a hands-on preview — shows a class meant to feel like someone who’s been to Hell and fought their way out. Influenced by heavy metal, the Warlock brings chaotic combat filled with flesh, blood, and fire, and uses two resources: Wrath for destructive abilities and Dominance to summon powerful demons.

Players shape a Warlock through Soul Shards, choosing one of four archetypes — Legion, Vanguard, Mastermind, or Ritualist — each granting a passive playstyle and a bound demon pet. Fragment sub-options further tune passives, resources, and abilities. Blizzard provided four pre-built Warlock builds to showcase the breadth of possibilities, from summoning demonic legions to riding into battle on a hellhound or commanding foes from the shadows.
