Did Fallout season 2 erase Courier 6 from the Mojave?
Season 2 of the Fallout TV series has been a strange ride. As a big Fallout: New Vegas fan I was excited to see the show head to the Mojave, but whereas season one landed for me, the second season often feels meandering. Much of the season plays like a highlight reel of the Mojave: Lucy and The Ghoul slowly make their way to The Strip and encounter radscorpions, Caesar's Legion and NCR remnants, and a ghoulified Kings.
Maximus wreaks havoc in the Brotherhood of Steel before facing a horde of Deathclaws. It’s an enjoyable romp at times, but narratively messy—Mr. House is alive, the Platinum Chip never clearly arrives, and the show leans on cold fusion as House’s final piece rather than the chip.
On the larger conflict, the series leans toward a post-war, worn-down Mojave. Caesar’s Legion appears to have won the second battle for Hoover Dam, Camp McCarran has fallen, and Caesar’s illness sparks the infighting that ultimately stops the Legion from taking The Strip.
