Disney Prepares Blockbuster Season Merchandise for 2026 Hits
After a big 2025 that produced three billion-dollar films, Disney is gearing up for a packed 2026 summer. Major releases include The Mandalorian and Grogu on May 22, Toy Story 5 on June 19, and the Moana live-action remake on July 10. Ahead of the New York Toy Fair, Disney Consumer Products previewed a cross-franchise Blockbuster Season plan to translate those films into toys, apparel, and other licensed goods.
The company aims to keep audiences engaged long after release and build new generations of fans; Lilo & Stitch merchandise generated more than $4 billion in sales last year, and Zootopia 2 has continued to draw interest. Partners named for the campaign include Lego across Star Wars, Disney Princesses, and Pixar releases, Crocs for fashion collections, and Walmart as a retail partner, with familiar collaborators such as Loungefly, Pop Mart, and Funko likely to join.
A recent Topps partnership will also bring characters into trading card form.
