Disney Slashes Streaming Prices for Limited Time
For a limited stretch in March, the ad-supported Disney+/Hulu bundle will be available for $4.99 a month between March 5 and March 24, down from the usual $12.99. The offer applies to new and eligible customers in the U.S. and covers the ad-supported tier only.
The reduced rate lasts for three months, after which the bundle will auto-renew at the prevailing regular price. The ad-free bundle remains priced at $19.99 a month, and future changes to standard pricing could affect renewal costs. Disney has raised prices before—toward the end of 2026 it increased Disney+ and Hulu fees for the third time in three years—and streaming profitability has been growing.
In the final quarter of 2025, operating income for Disney+ and Hulu rose to $450 million, a 72% increase, with an operating margin of 8.4% for the period and an expectation of 10% for fiscal year 2026. Hulu is slated to be folded into Disney+ sometime in 2026, though no firm date has been set.
