Ditto's stomach in Pokémon Pokopia raises big questions
Pokémon anatomy rarely crosses my mind, but after playing Pokémon Pokopia I found myself preoccupied with the inside of Ditto. Transformed into the likeness of their former trainer, Ditto carries a stylish little satchel. Sometimes Ditto puts items in the bag and removes them; other times Ditto puts items directly into their stomach by using the Stockpile move, then pukes the items up when they're needed.
There is no rhyme or reason to which item gets what treatment: Ditto puts a magazine rack in the bag, but brings it up from the depths of their guts when it's time to decorate; pick up one berry and it goes into the satchel, need several and Ditto will inhale the suckers and take them out of the bag later.
From that behavior a few conclusions follow: Ditto's belly and Ditto's satchel contain the same items, with no restrictions on what kind of item can go in either location or how it must come out — ergo, Ditto's satchel is Ditto's stomach.
