The FBI says a glove found during the search for Nancy Guthrie matches the one the suspect wore in surveillance footage and contains DNA distinct from other gloves recovered at the scene. Investigators are awaiting final lab results before uploading the DNA profile to a national database to try to identify the individual.

Pima County authorities reported DNA recovered from Guthrie’s home does not belong to anyone “close” to her and declined to disclose where it was found. Officials previously said several items of evidence were recovered, including a suspicious black glove that was submitted for analysis; the FBI found a glove on a dirt path near Guthrie’s house.

Surveillance video shows the suspect attempting to disable a security camera. Guthrie, 84, was last seen Jan. 31 and has been missing for more than two weeks. Sheriff Chris Nanos warned the search could take “years” but vowed his team would keep looking.
