Dolly Parton said she is "taking good care" of herself and in a "good" place as she delivered the keynote address at the opening day celebration for her Dollywood theme park's landmark 41st season. "I've not been touring, as you know. I've had a few little health issues, and we're taking good care of them," she told the audience during her first major public appearance in months.

She said the death of her husband, Carl Dean, last year left her "worn down and worn out." "I just got myself kind of where I needed to build myself back up spiritually, emotionally, and physically. But, all is good. It didn't slow me down," she added. Parton stunned in a corseted dress with bedazzled embellishments and wore her platinum-blond hair in a signature, voluminous updo.

Joined onstage by the president of the Dollywood Company, Eugene Naughton, she joked fans might have mistaken him for her "new husband," but confirmed she is "not dating anybody." She also quipped, "I think Carl Dean's waiting for me.
