Dominic Solanke scored a stunning scorpion-kick goal to level matters for Tottenham against Manchester City in north London on Feb. 1, 2026, Goal reported.

Tottenham had been two goals down after a flat first half that saw Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo give City the lead, leaving fans disgruntled and boos ringing out at the interval, Goal said.

There was an element of luck to Spurs’ first goal, with the ball bobbling over the line as Marc Guehi put in a late lunge on Solanke; the strike was eventually awarded to Tottenham’s No.19 after the ball was bundled beyond Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Solanke’s second was the outrageous scorpion kick: Conor Gallagher broke down the right and fired in a low cross that Solanke flicked off his ankle and looped into the net, a finish Goal compared to Olivier Giroud’s famous north London strike.

Solanke was denied a chance at a hat-trick after picking up a knock and being replaced in the final minute; Goal notes Thomas Frank will be hoping the injury is not serious as Spurs continue to look over their shoulder at the relegation battle below them, and the severity of the knock remains unclear.
