Donadoni on Massolin: Inter paid €3.5m, his position and qualities

Inter have invested €3.5 million in Yanis Massolin, completing a permanent transfer. He signed a four-and-a-half-year contract that runs until 30 June 2030.

Massolin is a versatile midfielder who began as a second striker but moved back a few metres to find his best position. He is a natural wide midfielder who can also operate as a playmaker or push into the attacking third.

At 190 cm he is strong in the air and physically imposing on the pitch. His characteristics and nationality have led to comparisons with Adrien Rabiot.

The move to Italy has sharpened his tactical understanding and physicality. He has increased his muscle mass and become more robust and ready for tackles.
