A new report says one of the images released by the FBI showing the masked figure suspected of kidnapping Nancy Guthrie may have been captured by her Nest doorbell on a day before Feb. 1, the night she is believed to have been abducted. That image shows the suspect without a backpack, while other FBI images from Feb.

Former FBI agent Jason Pack said that if the images are of the same person, "it could indicate that the person was there surveilling the place before the abduction happened." He added, "The fact that there was preparation and planning, which makes it more of a sophisticated type of criminal activity than someone just showing up." The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said the doorbell images depict a suspect in different stages of attire, including with and without a backpack, and noted that "there is no date or time stamp associated with these images.
