Elder Scrolls Online to get crossplay and cross-progression together

Pcgamer reports that Elder Scrolls Online will receive crossplay and cross-progression implemented at the same time, the studio said. The change comes after 12 long years.

The first murmurings about crossplay arrived in Oct. 2025, when ZeniMax Online Studios told Forbes it was being worked on. In a recent Reddit AMA the studio reiterated that crossplay is still in development and "won't be a 2026 item." Executive producer Susan Kath also wrote, "We will be doing crossplay and cross-prog at the same time."

Beyond those comments, the studio did not specify a release date, and timing beyond 2026 remains unspecified in the statements reported.
