Ella Purnell's 'Sweetpea' Climbs Prime Video Charts

Ella Purnell's Starz series Sweetpea climbed into Prime Video's worldwide trending chart, landing at number seven as of March 9. In the U.S., the show is available on Starz, but international viewers helped it reach the Prime Video top 10.

Purnell first drew attention in Yellowjackets and later boosted her profile as Lucy on Fallout. While Fallout dominated streaming charts for weeks, Sweetpea has now cracked the Prime Video top 10.

Based on CJ Skuse's novel, the TV series was presented as a reimagining and prequel rather than a direct adaptation. Season 1 premiered in 2024 and was renewed for a second season not long after.

Production on Season 2 wrapped late in 2025, with the next batch of episodes likely coming in 2026. Purnell has said, "It was a really crazy season. Season 1 was quite very small and tame in comparison to how bonkers this season is. There's so much in it. It's big." The original book series consists of five novels, leaving plenty of source material for future installments.
