Emma Cosgrove named Editorial Director of AI Innovation in newsroom reshuffle
Businessinsider: The newsroom said the following members have earned well-deserved promotions and announced a new class of January fellows working from the London and New York offices. Emma Cosgrove is the new Editorial Director of AI Innovation; she joined several months ago, has acted as a coach, trainer, editorial advisor, and company-wide partner on AI, and will lead efforts to optimize the newsroom’s uses of the technology.
Cosgrove joined as a logistics reporter, completed the Knight Bagehot fellowship, and most recently covered chip companies; she will report to Julie Zeveloff. Julia Hood, who added AI to her brief last year to help explore and test the technology, will return her focus fully to special projects and partnerships.
Mia de Graaf was promoted to Executive Editor on the Life team after leading young cancer coverage that expanded across the Econ team, Discourse, and Video; she will continue to lead the Health team and work across Life and the newsroom and will return from parental leave later in the spring.
