Emma Heming Willis said on the Conversations with Cam podcast on January 28 that her husband, Bruce Willis, remains unaware he has frontotemporal dementia three years after his diagnosis. Heming Willis explained this is due to a neurological condition called anosognosia, telling the podcast that the brain "can't identify what is happening to it" and that Bruce "never tapped in" or "connected the dots" that he had the disease.

She added, "I'm really happy about that. I'm really happy he doesn't know about it." The actress said the 70-year-old actor is still "present in his body" and continues to recognize and connect with family in a "very beautiful and meaningful" way, though those interactions are different than before.

"You just learn how to adapt," she said. The interview also addressed last summer's viral reports, including a claim in The Express Tribune that he was "no longer able to communicate in any meaningful way." The piece noted verification was never provided and cautioned that exterior reports should be treated with skepticism given the family's touching public updates.
