Endrick to return to Real Madrid after Lyon loan, agent says
Endrick's agent, Tiago Freitas, has confirmed the 19-year-old will return to Real Madrid at the end of his six-month loan at Lyon. The forward has made an immediate impact in Ligue 1, providing an assist on his debut and scoring a hat-trick in a win over Metz, which sparked speculation Lyon might try to keep him.
Freitas was clear: "Endrick was loaned to Lyon for six months. The decision has already been made and Endrick will return to Real Madrid at the end of the season." Freitas also explained why Endrick struggled for minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu, saying the youngster "scored in his first Champions League match, his first league match, and his first cup match" but faced exceptional competition.
He pointed to the club's attacking depth, listing Vinícius Júnior, Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo, and added that "it is completely normal for a young 18-year-old player to arrive at a club like this and have limited minutes," especially after missing part of the season through injury.
