England-themed relegation warning for Forest over Anderson, Gibbs-White
Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White have been handed an England-themed relegation warning at Nottingham Forest, with no guarantee either will remain at the City Ground this summer. The Reds are battling for Premier League survival. Anderson has been linked with Manchester City, Manchester United and a return to Newcastle, while Gibbs-White has drawn interest from ambitious, big-spending Premier League clubs.
Marlon Harewood said: “If they stay up, then you've got Premier League football again for another year. And that's a massive tool to keep hold of your best players.” Harewood added that players want to compete in the top leagues and to play for England, and that relegation would make those targets harder to reach.
He praised Gibbs-White’s display against Manchester City—“it's the best I've seen him play for a long time”—and called Anderson “top-class,” while noting things have not clicked for them consistently at Forest.
