Enzo Fernandez: coach gives me freedom as I add goals and seek more trophies

Enzo Fernandez said he has enjoyed adding goals and assists this season, with the coach giving him freedom to express himself in the last few metres of the pitch. He explained the team has a gameplan for each match and that the freedom in the final third lets him get into the box to offer team-mates another option.

Getting into those positions, he added, is something he has worked on in training and requires being in good physical condition, because as a midfielder he has to get up and down a lot. "I feel prepared for that now," he said, noting he prepares himself for those moments and has been trying for a long time to reach his current level of competitiveness.

Consistency matters, Fernandez emphasised, and he said he gives 100 per cent every day in training and matches, which he believes leads to great results.
