Enzo Fernandez could leave Chelsea for PSG if Blues miss Champions League
French outlet L'Équipe says Paris Saint-Germain have identified Enzo Fernandez as a long-term target. The Argentine, signed from Benfica in January 2023 for €121 million, is tied to Chelsea until June 2032, but PSG's financial firepower could test the club's resolve.
Champions League qualification is pivotal. After 29 rounds, Chelsea sit fifth on 48 points, level with Liverpool and three points behind Aston Villa and Manchester United; missing out next season would be a major financial blow and might force the club to consider offers for a high-value player.
Fernandez remains a key figure under new head coach Liam Rosenior, though he was reportedly unsettled by the managerial change after forming a close bond with former boss Enzo Maresca. He has also switched representation to an agency featuring Javier Pastore and Matias Toranzo, and his camp has sought an improved contract.
