Jeffrey Epstein’s Trust Reveals Beneficiaries of His Fortune
Two days before he killed himself in federal jail, Jeffrey Epstein signed a 32-page document called the 1953 Trust that named about 40 potential beneficiaries; a copy was included in Justice Department files released on Friday. It is unclear how much any beneficiary will receive after the estate’s decline in value following taxes, legal fees and payments to victims.
The trust called for Karyna Shuliak to receive $100 million, including a $50 million annuity and his 33-carat diamond ring. It also listed $50 million for Darren Indyke and $25 million for Richard Kahn, with $10 million each to Mark Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and $5 million to Martin Nowak; a handful of names were redacted and most of those named had worked for Mr.
Epstein. At his death the estate was valued at around $600 million; a recent court filing put the estate at $120 million, though value has fluctuated as assets were sold and claims paid. Mr. Indyke and Mr.
