Eric Dane's daughters: Billie Beatrice and Georgia Geraldine

Eric Dane, who died on Feb. 19, 2026, at age 53 after battling ALS, is survived by two daughters he shared with wife Rebecca Gayheart: Billie Beatrice Dane, born March 3, 2010, and Georgia Geraldine Dane, born Dec. 28, 2011. When his death was announced, his family described Billie and Georgia as “the center of his world.” The couple split in 2018 after 13 years of marriage but called off their divorce in March 2025, one month before Dane went public with his ALS diagnosis.

Gayheart later said she withdrew the filing to teach their children to “show up for family,” adding on the “Broad Ideas” podcast in November 2025, “We tell them, ‘We show up for people no matter what. He is our family. He is your father.’” She also said the girls were “really suffering” during Dane’s illness and that the family was working with professional therapists.

Billie, the older daughter, arrived in March 2010; Dane had said he planned to be in the delivery room and later explained the name Billie was chosen in honor of his father.
