Eric Dane's Five-Season The Last Ship Hits Apple TV Top 10

Nearly eight years after its final episode, The Last Ship has resurfaced on streaming, cracking the Apple TV Store Top 10 in Germany. Data from FlixPatrol shows renewed interest in the Michael Bay–produced thriller that Eric Dane led for five seasons.

Dane portrayed Captain Tom Chandler, a disciplined naval officer at the center of a pandemic-focused story that ran on TNT from 2014 to 2018. The series helped establish Jodie Turner-Smith and delivered fast-paced, action-driven television during its run.

The Last Ship earned a solid audience response, holding a 7.4/10 on IMDb and an 83% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics of the first season noted its "movie-sized action sequences and a pretty cast" while acknowledging it wasn’t breaking new ground.
