Eric Dane reconnected with ex Priya Jain before his death

In the months before his death, Priya Jain and Eric Dane had reconnected as friends, choosing to remain friends after their split over the summer. They were last photographed together in May 2025.

Jain was taken aback by how quickly he died; Dane had announced an ALS diagnosis in April 2025. She has a great deal of love for him and for his family and was described as sad and devastated, while also grateful that his daughters Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14, will keep his memory alive.

Jain paid tribute on Instagram Stories, sharing four black-and-white photos — one showing her snuggled up to him — and wrote, 'You truly were a black leather jacket in a world of tan cardigans,' adding white heart and dove emojis.

Dane's wife, Rebecca Gayheart, called off their divorce in March 2025 amid his illness, saying she made the move to teach their daughters to be there for family even 'when times are at their worst.' She also said they had not lived together for eight years.
