Eric Dane's posthumous memoir release date announced
Penguin Random House has set the release of Eric Dane’s posthumous memoir, "My Book of Days: A Memoir in Moments," for Nov. 3. Dane made the deliberate decision to finish the book after being diagnosed with ALS in 2023 and worked on the manuscript right up to the end.
Maria Shriver’s imprint, The Open Field, will publish the memoir. Shriver said Dane "wanted his daughters and readers to have these words" and that publishing it as planned allows him to "continue speaking, in his own voice, with the clarity and courage that defined him." The book traces everything from the grind of his early years in Hollywood and the hard-won peace of sobriety to the "profound clarity" that came with his diagnosis; Dane wrote that "Our days are all we truly have." He described waking each morning and being "immediately reminded that this is real — this illness, this challenge," and said he wanted to "capture the moments that shaped me" so readers would "remember what it means to live with heart." Dane, who died Feb.
