Esoteric Ebb drops 90-minute soundtrack supercut
A 90-minute supercut titled "90 Minutes of Esoteric Ebb Music | A Lazy Day in Norvik" has appeared on YouTube, presenting a chilled arrangement of the upcoming fantasy RPG's soundtrack. Its tone sits apart from the game's primary inspiration, Disco Elysium. Where Disco leaned on the dreamy indie rock of Sea Power, Esoteric Ebb layers wistful strings with surprising, memorable synths—sonically closer to 2022's Tunic than to Disco's sound.
The video pairs the music with a lo-fi hip hop–style visual: the behelmeted cleric protagonist reads while the city outside cycles through day and night. The RPG is slated to release in the first quarter of this year. The supercut offers a calm, work-friendly backdrop and a taste of the atmosphere the full score promises.
Demos have impressed with talking skills, urban exploration and a reworking of D&D staples like spellcasting and combat from first principles.
