Following the release of the first Season 3 trailer, Euphoria has climbed back to the top of HBO Max streaming charts as fans rewatch the series. Once viewed as unlikely to return, the show became one of HBO’s biggest breakout hits and helped launch performers such as Sydney Sweeney, Zendaya and Jacob Elordi.

Season 3 is confirmed to premiere this April and will feature a five-year jump in time; most core characters are no longer in high school, and many have finished college and moved into other careers. Plot details remain largely under wraps, though Jules (Hunter Schafer) is confirmed to be a sex worker and Nate (Jacob Elordi) and Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) are in a relationship.

Sam Levinson created the series and serves as its primary director; he also worked on The Idol, which was panned and canceled after one season, and wrote the erotic thriller Deep Water, now streaming on Hulu.
