Evangelion studio says takedown request exposed its own 30th‑anniversary short
Studio Khara says it accidentally exposed its own 30th anniversary short while trying to remove an unauthorized recording from X, and then released the short officially to the public. The short, a playful trip down memory lane for Asuka and her Rebuild counterpart, had been available only to attendees of the 30th anniversary Evangelion celebration event.
Khara explained that, "during the process of submitting takedown requests to X, information included in our report to demonstrate ownership of the video’s copyright was disclosed to the account that had posted the unauthorized recording due to the platform’s reporting system." The studio said it regrets the concern caused, apologized to attendees and supporters, and is confirming the facts while investigating the cause and considering measures to prevent recurrence.
