'Evil Dead' star Bruce Campbell has 'treatable' but not 'curable' cancer

Bruce Campbell revealed on X that he has a form of cancer that is "treatable" but not "curable." The "Evil Dead" star, 67, said the news came as a shock. He said he would not go into detail about the diagnosis and that future public appearances would take a backseat while he focuses on treatment.

"My plan is to get as well as I possibly can over the summer so that I can tour with my new movie 'Ernie & Emma' this fall," he wrote. "Treatment needs and professional obligations don't always go hand-in-hand." Campbell added that he was not seeking sympathy or advice, but wanted to get ahead of any false information.
