Evra backs Luis Enrique as 'dream' United manager and urges Cole Palmer move
Patrice Evra has identified Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique as his 'dream' candidate to lead Manchester United, while stressing that Michael Carrick should not be written off after his strong interim stint. Evra praised Enrique’s tactical approach and resilience, citing his work at PSG, including taking them to a Champions League campaign without Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe or Neymar.
Evra also urged Chelsea forward Cole Palmer to consider a move to Old Trafford as a way to 'upset Man City' in the manner of Carlos Tevez and the infamous 'RIP Fergie' banner. He said he would welcome Palmer but warned that the United shirt carries relentless demands, noting Palmer’s big contract at Chelsea and the higher year‑round expectation at United.
Despite the allure of a headline signing, Evra insisted that improving the defence must be the recruitment priority.
