Ex-Prince Andrew arrested following Epstein files revelations
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026 — his 66th birthday — after weeks of revelations about his friendship with convicted rapist Jeffrey Epstein.
He was taken into custody on suspicion of misconduct in public office, an offence that carries a maximum life sentence in the UK.
Thames Valley Police, without identifying him, said it had arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and was carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.
