Archetype Entertainment has released the first extended gameplay trailer for Exodus, and its tone will feel familiar to fans of Mass Effect. The studio, announced in 2023, was founded in part by former BioWare staff, including members of the original Mass Effect team.

The trailer is split into three segments. In Lyonesse on Lidon, protagonist Jun Aslan fights alongside companions Tom and Elise in cover-based shooting, complete with health bars and a weapon-selection wheel that will look familiar to players. Another segment follows Jun using a space grappling hook — officially the 'railclaw' — to traverse the exterior of an orbital tower linking Lyonesse to the Cherag Harbor asteroid; the city glows below while an aurora bathes Lidon's horizon in green.

The final scene finds Jun approaching an ancient Celestial shrine on Khonsu, suggesting a mysticism beyond the combat.
