In a report from Pagesix, former CIA member and FBI special agent Tracy Walder says Nancy Guthrie was likely "stalked for some time" before her kidnapping. Walder points to several clues: authorities found no DNA indicating a suspect in Guthrie's Arizona home, her doorbell camera disconnected around 1:47 a.m., and investigators believe the perpetrator was at the property for about 45 minutes and removed security cameras.

She says the intruder appeared prepared — "suited up and gloved up" — and noted a trail of blood outside the front door belongs to Nancy. Walder tells Pagesix she believes the abduction was highly targeted and not a random robbery, and she is not convinced the motive is purely financial; she suggests the person may be obsessed with or upset about Savannah Guthrie.

Authorities are investigating a ransom note that mentioned an Apple Watch and a flood light, set a deadline for 5 p.m. MT with a second demand "next Monday," and a $50,000 reward has been offered.
