Extraction 3 With Chris Hemsworth Set to Begin Filming in June 2026

Extraction 3 is set to begin filming in June 2026 and is expected to run through October 9, 2026. Chris Hemsworth will return as Tyler Rake, with Sam Hargrave directing.

Production will be based largely in Sydney, with additional shooting planned in Europe. The franchise previously filmed in India, Thailand and Prague; the third instalment shifts much of the action to Australia.

The first Extraction (2020) introduced Hemsworth as a black ops mercenary tasked with rescuing the kidnapped son of an Indian drug lord. Extraction 2 found Rake rescuing the family of an abusive crime lord from a prison in Georgia.

Both films received positive response for their commitment to old-school action and Hemsworth's charisma, and Netflix and producers, including the Russo Brothers, are working to build Extraction into a major action franchise.
