The film opened in theaters on December 5, 2025, grossed around $2 million and earned mostly positive notices; it now holds a "Certified Fresh" score on Rotten Tomatoes, whose consensus praised its "gleefully affectionate tone" and highlighted its "fearless comic spirit."
