Fallout season 2 avoids choosing a canon New Vegas ending

Fallout season 2 stops short of establishing a single canonical ending for Fallout: New Vegas, with the finale deliberately avoiding taking sides.

House's re-emergence on his computer led many to think House always wins, but Robertson-Dworet has said that was not a cast-iron guarantee of any one outcome.

The show suggests House was awaiting the cold fusion diode's return to Lucky 38 as a possible salvation, while also acknowledging there were plenty of other fates that could have befallen him.

Bethesda director Todd Howard summed up the approach, saying it's good to open up conversations and that history may offer conflicting reports on how events played out.
