Fallout season 2 finale explains Liberty Prime Alpha
The Fallout season 2 finale provided blueprints for Liberty Prime Alpha, a weapon longtime game fans will recognize. Spoilers for the season 2 ending follow. In the games Liberty Prime is essentially a Brotherhood suit scaled up 100x, originally conceived as a pre-war weapon to end the Indo-American war and seize Anchorage.
Technical issues prevented that plan, but schematics reached the Brotherhood around the time of Fallout 3, where they reactivated Prime to beat back the Enclave and allow Project Purity to be activated. Liberty Prime is destroyed in Fallout 3's Broken Steel DLC, with its pieces later salvaged and—depending on player actions—used in Fallout 4 to defeat the Institute or to damage a Brotherhood chapter.
It was presumed destroyed and lost until now. If Prime Alpha is now in Quintus's hands, it could be dangerous: in its prime Liberty Prime possessed high-powered laser weapons and nuclear devices, making it effectively a one-robot killing machine, though it is unclear whether the Alpha version will carry that armament.
