Amazon renewed Fallout for a third season, and the show’s future was outlined as stretching beyond a single additional run; Maximus actor Aaron Moten has said he was pitched on a five- or six-season arc for his character. The season 2 finale set up several plot strands for season 3: Lucy and Maximus are reunited, The Ghoul heads toward Colorado and the Enclave, Stephanie is revealed as Hank’s pre-war wife and connected to the Enclave, Hank activated widespread mind-control devices that erased his memory, and war looms for New Vegas as a reunited Caesar’s Legion marches against the New California Republic.

Season 3 is in pre-production and, according to a Film & Television Industry Alliance posting, filming is scheduled to begin on May 1 in California, with production returning to Santa Clarita after much of season 2 was shot there. Frederick E.O. Toye is listed to return as a director and executive producer after directing multiple episodes in season 2.
