Kotaku reports that a countdown clock, Steam review glitches and cryptic comments from Todd Howard have convinced many Fallout fans that remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are imminent. Players noted Steam would block reviews for the older Fallout titles and that a search lists 12 Fallout entries while only 10 are available, a detail PC Gamer flagged on January 14.

The review issue affected multiple Steam games over roughly 72 hours — including Batman: Arkham City — and appears to have been fixed; the article’s writer said they were able to leave a review for New Vegas. The extra listing is also described as a common Steam storefront quirk tied to editions and regional availability.

Separately, Amazon activated a Fallout-themed site with one location locked until the season two finale on February 4, which fans linked to past comments from Todd Howard about more Fallout and a successful shadow-drop test. A Reddit user who dug into the site data found the locked spot is the Lucky 38 Casino and will open for exploration after the clock runs out, not necessarily serving as a reveal portal for a remaster.
