Fast Forever hires Hunger Games writer Michael Lesslie
Vin Diesel revealed the title of the saga's 11th film, Fast Forever, and said it is due in March 2028. The movie is set to bring to a close a 25-year chapter that began with the franchise's first ten films.
Louis Leterrier, who directed 2023's Fast X, will return as director, continuing his work as the eighth different director in the series. Universal has hired screenwriter Michael Lesslie to pen the script; Diesel wrote that, after hearing Lesslie's pitch, he felt "a story with something real beating inside it."
Lesslie already has nearly a dozen screenwriting credits, including 2025's Now You See Me: Now You Don't. He is next attached to The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, due Nov. 20, 2026, and will later work with Jake Schreier on Marvel Studios' first X-Men movie.
