FBI Releases Doorbell Images in Search for Savannah Guthrie's Mother

The FBI on Tuesday released images and video recovered from a front-door camera at the home of Nancy Guthrie, showing an armed person wearing a face mask, gloves and a backpack. "Working with our partners — as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance," FBI Director Kash Patel said.

Patel said investigators and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department spent eight days working with private-sector partners to recover footage that may have been lost or corrupted. "The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems," he added. Nancy, 84, who lived just outside of Tucson, Arizona, was reported missing by her family on February 1; authorities are treating the case as a crime and possible abduction.
