FBI releases surveillance images in Nancy Guthrie disappearance
The FBI released surveillance images showing a masked person captured on the Nest doorbell at Nancy Guthrie's Arizona home. Nancy Guthrie, the mother of "Today" show host Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing on February 1 and is believed to have been taken from her home against her will.
The 84-year-old has limited mobility, a pacemaker, and depends on daily medication for a heart condition. Family members last saw her the night before they reported her missing after they dropped her off at home following a dinner. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said the doorbell camera had been removed and that blood discovered on her porch matched back to her.
Up until this point, law enforcement officials had not identified any persons of interest or suspects in the case. The case has captured national attention amid reports of purported ransom notes and emotional video pleas by Savannah Guthrie and her siblings.
