Felix Nmecha set to become BVB record earner amid Niklas Süle uncertainty
Felix Nmecha signed an early extension until 2030 and has become Borussia Dortmund's joint top earner with Niklas Süle. The 25-year-old now takes home €10 million a year, and his pay is due to rise again in the summer as he is set to take on part of Süle's salary.
Some outlets say Süle will not be offered a new deal and will leave on a free transfer after the season. Transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio has offered a different read, suggesting Süle could still extend and that the club has been trying to keep him. Süle currently earns a reported €12–14 million per year, a sum Nmecha—and potentially Nico Schlotterbeck if he extends—could reach.
With strong Premier League interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City, Dortmund included an exit clause for Nmecha: €80 million in 2027 and €70 million a year later. Dortmund will wear a special jersey for the 21 March home match against Hamburger SV to mark 100 years of the Rote Erde stadium.
