FFXIV 7.5 release date, reveals Beastmaster job

The FFXIV 7.5 patch series begins on April 28 and will run through September. The Live Letter highlighted new dungeons, more Hildebrand content, a scenario quest, and a first look at the limited Beastmaster job. The Beastmaster will debut at level 1 alongside a batch of limited classes, but players must be at least level 50 and have completed the main scenario in A Realm Reborn to unlock it.

Beastmasters weaken monsters to capture them and can call on up to three captured creatures to assist in battle and travel. The job’s bestiary will include 50 monsters at launch and the initial level cap is 50. Producer Naoki Yoshida also teased a single-player mode called Crucible of the Unbroken for nurturing companions, with few details revealed, and noted that adding Beastmaster pushed the next Blue Mage update to a later date.
