Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen endured a Champions League nightmare at the Parc des Princes when a late passing error with the tie level at 2-2 allowed Vitinha to lob the stranded keeper. The mistake sparked a late collapse, leaving Liam Rosenior’s side staring at a 5-2 deficit ahead of the second leg and complicating their season.

The round-of-16 first leg was a high-octane contest. Bradley Barcola opened the scoring before Malo Gusto levelled, Ousmane Dembele restored PSG's lead prior to the break, and Enzo Fernandez drew Chelsea level in the 57th minute; momentum appeared evenly balanced until the 74th-minute incident.

Jorgensen’s risky left-footed pass fell into the path of Barcola, who knocked it to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and then squared to Vitinha. The Portuguese midfielder chipped a calm lob over the rushing keeper, and PSG’s relentless pressing then forced further errors as Kvaratskhelia added goals in the 86th minute and deep into stoppage time to complete a 5-2 victory.
