Final Fantasy VII Remake director teases Part 3 details

Final Fantasy VII Remake director Naoki Hamaguchi says the third part is playable and that he already knows the title, with a first trailer expected sooner rather than later. Speaking with Bloomberg, he outlined what long-time fans might see in the final installment.

Rebirth reshuffled several story beats: players meet Cid without visiting Rocket Town, and Wutai was absent. Hamaguchi confirmed both Rocket Town and Wutai will appear in Part 3, and said Yuffie makes a prominent appearance, stating her case about her homeland.

Hamaguchi also touched on end-game content. Flying the Highwind will be a very large part of the third installment and the team wants to expand that experience. He declined to commit to the original RNG-based Chocobo breeding mini-game, but said there is an element involving Chocobos that is a little different than in Rebirth, and he was more circumspect about whether players will go to space or explore underwater for the Huge Materia missions.
